Ai Tenchi Muyou!

EP1 - Tenchi Arrives

Tenchi is lost in the wooded mountain outside Junai Academy and has violent encounters with the main characters of the series there before he is able to arrive. Ukan Kurihara introduces him to the class where he will be the student teacher. All primary characters who are high school student are conveniently members of this single class.

EP2 - Orientation

Momo Kawanagare, the Student Council President, gives Tenchi a tour of the school. The council's Vice President, Treasurer and Auditor Hana Saryu, Touri Fueyama, and Hachiko. The latter three strip, tie, and gag Tenchi and take out torture devices in an effort to question him.

EP3 - Tenchi Departs

In the show's first flashback, Washu explains to Tenchi that two people got caught in a dimensional warp during her experiments and she needs him to return them to their previous location for her. He is sent back in time and quickly finds a child Momo and they use his phone to look for her partner.

EP4 - Underground Unrest

Tenchi escapes the student council and, while looking for a place to put his clothes back on, finds himself in the old school building and ends up being caught by the president, vice president, and bodyguard of the Science Club, Yuki Fuka, Rui Aoi, and Beni Kinojyou. They also tie, gag, and strip him.

EP6 - One Day Down

Tenchi returns to the simple Inn that Tenchi is sharing with Sasami, Ayeka, and Ryoko. They pledge their support in helping Tenchi with his task. Washu sends a box of armor and charms she says he'll need for the job.

EP7 - Tenchi's Encounter

In an episode that heavily references the story of Kibitsuhiko no Mikoto, Tenchi and Momo encounter Inukai Takeru, Sasa Morihiko, and Tome Tamaomi (retainers of the Emperor's prince in the original story), who resemble Hachiko, Touri, and Hana. While Tenchi continues their search, they come along, in search of a monster ravaging the area. They discover and have a short battle with a Ryoko (the monster) that doesn't recognize Tenchi. First Class Detective Mihoshi arrives in a battle suit to arrest her. (In the original story, the prince and the three retainers defeat an Oni).

EP8 - Festival Preparations

Tenchi tries to negotiate between the Science Club who are begging for funds from the council, who says they are misappropriating the money they have gotten. Ukan tells him teachs can't interfere.

EP9 - Walking the Maze

This episode features prominent references to Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Tenchi and Hachiko wander a cavernous warehouse full of booby-traps to gather resources for the upcoming Cultural Festival. According to Hachiko, a guidebook is needed to navigate it. The Science Club follows them and immediately get lost and end up running for their lives from a giant rolling iron ball. Tenchi and Hachiko also have to run and lose the guidebook.

EP11 - Break Right Through

Beni and Hachiko temporarily cured by using a broom for a weapon) can't defeat Goriki and Tenchi is forced to take it down with the Tenchi-ken. A dazed Beni is hazily aware of the extreme power he shows in the battle. Everyone finds their way out. Yuki and Rui run off with a cart full of borrowed supplies for the festival.The sub and dub of the episode present slight differences in the eisode's final scenes. In the Japanese subtitles, Beni decides to punch Tenchi to test his power and easily decks him, making her think she may have mistaken what she saw. In the English dub, Tenchi makes the remark girl's are always so helpless and Beni punches him as punishment. In both cases though, Hachiko gets mad at her for it and seems to gain some new respect for him.

EP12 - Slip of the Tongue

Tenchi returns to he Inn where he, Ryoko, Ayeka, and Sasami live during this mission. Sasami and Ayeka announce that they will be at the Culture Fest (having hypnotized the Student Council into believing that they are students). Ryoko tries to make dinner out of a noxious looking alien creature she traveled into space to capture and is determined to feed it to an unwilling Tenchi, whether it's still squirming or not.

EP13 - Tenchi's Discovery

In the past, Mihoshi, battles against Ryoko. Mihoshi pauses her attack when she realizes that Tenchi and Momo are in her line of fire and Ryoko takes her down with her blasts. Suddenly, both are sucked into one of the tears of space-time that brought Beni and Momo down (This is never spoken of again).In gratitude for Momo protecting them, Inukai, Sasa, and Tamaomi agree to help her and Tenchi in their search. They discover a huge crater in the woods, and on the other side is an unconscious Beni in an escape pod.

EP14 - The Festival Begins

Tenchi visits Sasami's Sweet Shop. It is extremely poplar and Rui eats so much that she runs up an astronomical bill. Yui refuses to pay and Ryoko drags the two into the back to work off their debt. Tenchi then meets the Student Council in the hallway. Momo's oddly understanding friends work it out so Momo can wander alone with Tenchi as she patrols the festival but a short woman in a lab coat (Washu) rams into Tenchi, causing him to grab onto Momo in what seems to be a passionate embrace. Ms. Kurihara sees this and decides to punish his behavior by forcing him to compete in the festival's beauty contest. From across the campus, Ryoko uses binoculars to spy Tenchi happily walking around with Momo and gets jealous.

EP15 - Looking Back Part 3

A massive flare-up of egos lands Tenchi in an unexpected, major role in Hachiko's play.

EP16 - Tenchi Arrives

Ms. Kurihara has had enough of Tenchi's mishaps. But where she sees punishment, Aeka and Sasami see a chance for Tenchi to shine.

EP17 - Festival Opening

The Student Council and the Science Club light up the runway. But in the end, beauty is a game for the grown-ups.

EP18 - Tenchi's Kiss

After things wind down, Saryu comes by with an unusual request. The school's factions prepare for a new challenge.

EP19 - Tenchi's Transformation

The Student Council gets psyched up for Sports Day. Ms. Kurihara's explanation raises the stakes for the clubs -- and even more so for Tenchi!

EP20 - Looking Back Part 4

Goriki makes an appearance, throwing the first challenge into disarray. But the Student Council still has teamwork on their side.

EP21 - Beautiful Feast

Goriki's not out of the running yet, and in the second challenge, the Science Club aims to settle the score.

EP22 - Storm Before Interlude

In a most unconventional challenge, Momo makes a risky appeal to the opposing side.

EP23 - Opening Declaration

How long can one day drag on? Tenchi and Momo share a moment of admiration, but it sounds like our hero may be in for more trouble tomorrow.

EP24 - Obstacle Course

Tenchi is beset on all sides by the mayhem of a girls' dorm. The Science Club sees a moment of opportunity.

EP25 - Looking Back Part 5

A small misunderstanding escalates into a big pinch, forcing Momo to run cover as Tenchi makes overhears a startling truth.

EP26 - The Great Mock Calvalry Battle

In a clandestine ramen meet-up, Tenchi finds out Kinojo has a lot going on under the surface -- as does the Science Club's dorm room.

EP27 - Tenchi's Rescue

Flashback 1. On Jurai, Kurenai,A young orphaned girl and seemingly a prisoner, is being freed because the royal family has decided to charge her with the care of their young princess. A bit later, the girl has grown to be the child Momo and she calls Kurenai Beni, apparently a term of affection. They are about to board their ship to take Momo to her destiny in a far away place.Flashback 2. Having found Beni in her ship, Tenchi tries to execute the program that should send them back. Instead, a new dimensional rift opens and sucks Momo and Tenchi in. During the process, Tenchi drops his phone into a crevice.

EP28 - Super Playoffs

Kinojo and Tenchi have a frank and fraught heart-to-heart. Count on Momo to step in and save the day... Or to try, anyway.

EP29 - Dorm Supervisor Inauguration

A sympathy cookout for Tenchi becomes a day of truce and relaxation.

EP30 - Looking Back Part 6

Tenchi arrives back in the present with some loose ends to tie up. He and Washu plan out a mission that brings the story full circle.

EP31 - Hazy Shadows

The Science Club gets a dressing-down. Kinojo interrupts a quiet evening at the Masaki home with an unexpected proposal.

EP32 - No Need for a Midnight Snack

Tenchi gets a clue about the Science Club's intentions, but the Student Council smells danger.

EP33 - Tenchi in Action!

The tables have turned! The Science Club and their new allies square off with the Student Council to buy time as Tenchi goes treasure hunting.

EP34 - Meeting on the Roof

Tenchi, Momo and the Science Club uncover a key to everything happening at the school, but getting it won't be easy.

EP35 - Looking Back Part 7

As Tenchi and the others regroup with the Student Council, the Science Club finds a new mission. Ms. Kurihara intercepts a telling communication.

Ryoko and Ayeka confront the Student Council while the rest of the gang help the Science Club look for the treasure they are seeking.

Upon finding the treasure, Tenchi discovers that not only it, but Momo and Beni as well are somehow connected to his mission

With disaster bearing down, Goriki steps up to the plate. Ryoko makes a major save.
