GX takes place 10 years after the original Yu-Gi-Oh!

Ten years after the Ceremonial Battle, a teenage boy named Yuuki Judai heads off in order to join the Duelist Yousei School located on a remote island off the coast of Japan.

There he meets his fellow students and gains a few friends, along with a few enemies.

Judai is put into the lowest rank of Osiris Red, but he continues to test his skills against the students and faculty to prove his worth as a Yousei Duelist and earn the respect of everyone around him.

Jaden is promoted to the second year. A gentle new student approaches into a duel with Jaden. The deck of the new student isn't powerful because it is created suddenly without preparation by the immediate purchase of 8 packs-40 cards-at a stand. By Large Angel Zaret, Jaden's life points are lowered to 1200. Syrus and the others have realized that the new student is actually a prominent duelist, Aster Phoenix.
EP54 - Champion or Chazz-been

Chancellor Crowler approaches Chazz nad tells him that Chazz can enter back into Obelisk Blue if he can defeat a new student called Reginald van Howell, or Reggie. Chazz accepts these conditions and the next day he and Reggie duel. Once, he was on the top class, but now he is in the Red dorm. Reggie can break through Chazz playing Ojama monsters. Although Chazz can do the first attack well by XYZ combo, it is striked by Gilford the Lightning and other monsters in soldier family deck. However, he isn't perturbed, looking through the competition during the past year. Then he uses Mega Ojama King.
EP55 - A Hassleberry Hounding

Tyranno Hassleberry, the top first grade of yellow challenges Jaden for a duel. Tyranno was the original school gang leader, beating Jaden to prove the fact that the academy has charisma. He loves Dinosaurs, so he uses Dinosaur deck. By the field magic Jurassic World, Dinosaur and Beast families can be powered up, and even the trap is repulsed. Furthermore, by Ultra Evolution Pill Jyooshin Kayaku, Jaden is threatened by the evolution of Archaeopteryx to Black Tyranno with 2900 attack points.
EP56 - Sad But Truesdale

The news about the promotion to yellow dorm has come to Syrus. Crowler has prepared the condition that he has to duel and defeat the girl called Missy of Blue dorm. Thus, Syrus becomes so frightened that Jaden and his friends have to encourage him. Syrus is playing Bigroid deck while Missy is fighting by an insect deck. Missy multiplies the number of ants on Syrus's field in oder to increase the attack points of Insect Princess up to 2900. On the other side, Sho is fighting without Power Bond, fusing three Bigroid to summon Drillroid
EP57 - The Demon

Jaden and Bastion are still Duel Academy students, so they have to practice a lot. Bastion uses his WaterDragon again, but Water Dragon can not defeat Jaden's ShiningFlareWingman. Before dueling against Zane, Aster talks to his manager about the future and his victory. Jaden is extremely surprised, when he sees Avian's appearance on Aster's field. During next turn, Aster fuses Avian with Burstnatrix, but instead of FlameWingman, Aster creates PhoenixEnforcer which impresses Jaden and Syrus. But the best thing in PhoenixGuy is that he can not be destroyed in battle. And thanks to that special ability, Aster defeats Zane, by fusing PhoenixEnforcer with Sparkman to summon ShiningPhoenixEnforcer and using DestructionOfDestiny to send 4 more ElementalHeroes to the graveyard and raise ShiningPhoenixGuy's attack to 4900.
EP58 - A New Breed of Hero (1)

Which side is using the true Hero? The conclusion is needed. Thus, the duel between Jaden and Aster has finally started. Jaden initiates the attack by Flame Wingman. Suddenly, Aster summons Phoenix Enforcer by the same fusion. Both of them are hitting each other at the same time. Also, the fight becomes the high-class Elemental Hero fusion battle between Shining Flare Wingman and Shining Phoenix Enforcer. Anyway, Aster hasn't approved Jaden having the talent as a Hero.
EP59 - A New Breed of Hero (2)

The duel between Jaden and Aster is continued. Using the field magic card The clock Tower of the Secluded Prison, the passage time of destiny is cut off strangely. Furthermore, D-Hero Destiny Hero? series monsters are summoned one after another. This leads Destiny. compared to the Elemental Hero monsters, to control the time freely. Many monsters of Jaden are destroyed while his several turns are thrown away. When he is going to revive, he suffers from the damage of the enemy's combo. Finally, The D-Hero confined in the Clock Tower appears.
EP60 - Pop Goes the Duel

After Jaden is defeated by Aster, his cards become invisible in white paper. On the other side, because of Dr. Crowler, Atticus approaches into a duel against his younger sister, Alexis. Atticus invites Alexis to join him in the sibling debut in the entertainment world. Atticus activates the field magic Ultimate Stage Clothes that can increase the attack points of a monster by 3000. However, the cloths are too large. That makes the movement become awkward. Thus, when he strikes, the attack of his monster isn't as powerful as it has the original attack points. Alexis is opposing him by the ritual monster, Cyber Angel series.
EP61 - I've Seen the Light

A mysterious guy, Sartorious, appears in front of Chazz and duels with him. Sartorious places his cards on the table face down, shuffles Chazz's deck, and says that the destiny of Chazz will be forseen through a card pulled out. That's how he duels like a Tarot. The Hangman's effect is shown according to its normal or reversed position. This becomes the confrontation between Saiou who can absolutely make the destiny and Chazz who opens his own destiny personally.
EP62 - A Greater Porpoise

A disappointed Jaden wanders around outer space. It's weird, but with a friendly dolphin-shaped space alien's guidance, Jaden is reunited with an illustrated card he drew in his childhood, which Kaiba Corp. launched into space. But, that card became perfect by evolving through the power of space's intention. Jaden duels a hostile alien life form. At the end of the universe, the energy form obtains the power of Neo Space, and Jaden starts to understand a new deck concept that gives his monsters a power up.
EP63 - Curry Worries

The Ra Yellow Head, Professor Sartyr, tries to bring Sargent Hassleberry, who usually enters Slifer Red dorm, back to Ra Yellow dorm by using curry. Thus, the duel between Hassleberry and Sartyr begins. Will Hassleberry's platoon of dinosaurs win this war? Or will Sartyr have the sweet taste of victory with his curry-themed deck?
EP64 - Camaraderie Contest

While Jaden is still away, Syrus and Tyranno have a quarrel over who should get the tile of Jaden's sworn brother. Thus the duel between Syrus and Tyranno which bet by the strong through towards their Big Brother begins.
EP65 - No Pain, No Game

After Zane is defeated by Aster in Pro League, his glory seems to be gone. He is then invited by an untrustworthy sponsor to join the underground duel. It is the duel to show the elements with desparate effort in front of savage audiences. Then the duel between Zane and Inukai begins.
EP66 - Going Bananas

Jaden, who is getting lost in the forest, becomes hungry and fades, reminding himself of his duels in the past.
EP67 - Homecoming Duel (1)

Jaden has finally returned after leaving for a long time. He battles against Aster, betting by the abolition of Slifer Red dorm.
EP68 - Homecoming Duel (2)

The duel between Jaden and Aster is continued.
EP69 - Dormitory Demolition

Vice Principle Bonaparte has an argument against Temp. Principle Crowler about the abolishment of Slifer Red. Thus, the teachers duel begins.
EP70 - Obelisk White?

Chazz beats one Obelisk Blue Student one after another, and preforms the unknown action of dying the entire Blue Dorm White. It is said that it is the Association with the Light which Sartorious commands that should be what a school dedicates themselves to. He Duels Alexis.
EP71 - DuelFellas

The Society of Light sends Chazz and Alexis to call Lorenzo to duel Jaden. Alexis tells Jaden that he should meet her in a duel dome/museum. Everyone thinks it is a date, but instead of a date, the member of the Society of Light, Lorenzo challenges Jaden to a duel.
EP72 - Not Playing With A Full Deck

The top rank pro duelist X is sent by the white association, approaching into the duel against Jaden.
EP73 - Source of Strength

In oder to verify Nabukabu Power, Sartorious predicts by his Tarot, comes to Duel Academy, and approaches into the duel against Tyranno Hassleberry.
EP74 - Happily Never After

In order to decide the destination of the study trip, Jaden approaches into the duel against Sartorious' representative Rose.
EP75 - Taken By Storm (1)

Duel Academy has the school trip to Domino City. It's the sanctuary duel place of Yugi Muto, Seto Kaiba, and others. Jaden and his friends visit Yugi's house and meet Grandpa. While walking into the town, Grandpa is kidnapped. Two assassins of The Society of Light, Thunder and Frost, chase after them and approach them into a tag duel.
EP76 - Taken By Storm (2)

The tag duel between Syrus/Tyranno and Thunder/Frost is continued.
EP77 - J-Dawg and T-Bone

Seeing Sartorious's sister Saleena, T-Bone becomes frantic to beat Jaden. Without knowing Jaden's face before, he joins a camp Slifer Red. Jaden and T-Bone don't know each other, but they finally become good friends. When they are going to duel, they realized their actual hatred against each other.
EP78 - Mirror, Mirror (1)

Serena, Sartorious' sister, guides Jaden, Aster, Grandpa, and Bastion to Kaiba Land. Aster and Jaden go inside the Virtual World to see Syrus and Tyranno as a Vehicroid and a dinosaur. Then Serena tells them that the only way that they can get out and save Syrus and Hasslebery is if they defeat her in a duel. The duel is also being held to see who is the chosen one to stand by Sartorious' side.
EP79 - Mirror, Mirror (2)

The unusual tag duel between Jaden and Aster VS Sarina is continued.
EP80 - What a Doll!

Dorothy is struggling to clean up Duel Academy before the rest of the school comes back and she notices that a doll has gone missing. The doll appears in a human form as a girl named Alice. Hassleberry falls in love with Alice and she carries him off to the forest. Jaden goes to the forest at night to investigate and then Alice challenges Jaden to a duel.
EP81 - Let's Make a Duel

Bob, the quiz king who becomes attracted to Alexis, comes across Jaden having a quarrel against Alexis is forced into a duel with Jaden.
EP82 - Magnetic Personality

When all of the Ra Yellow students are entering the Society of Light, Bastion is upset that he isn't already part of the group. He says that since the Society of Light is for the best he should be already be a member. Bastion is so upset about the fact that he isn't a member that he goes to the White Dorm to challenge Sartorious. Instead of Bastion dueling Sartorious, Chazz is told to take his place and duel Bastion.
EP83 - Schooling the Master

Zane, who is seeking for the sealed powerful deck, visits the former Chancellor Sheppard, and old master of Cyber Style Duel. Then, the student-teacher duel between Zane and Sheppard begins.
EP84 - Generation neXt

Chancellor Shepphard declares the opening of the GX Tournament. It's an important tournament that world Pro duelists and the students will participate in on Duel Academy Island. Sartorious then approaches to duel against a European champion, Prince Ojin.
EP85 - Rah, Rah Ra!

Francis has appeared in front of Jaden. Pegasus and Chumley come from I2 Corporation urgently because the guy is an employee of I2 and a dangerous guy who uses a copy card of the greatest card Winged Dragon of Ra .
EP86 - The Art of the Duel

Jaden is bored, having no opponent for this day of the Genex Tournament. Suddenly, a pro duelist, Orlando, appears in front of Jaden and challenges him to a duel.
EP87 - Blinded by the Light (1)

Chazz confronts a pro duelist. He, who has become a member of Association of Light, applies White Knights Swordsman and obtains the victory with by such preponderant strength. Chazz confronts against Jaden, who was watching the duel, and demands the duel with him. Jaden is aware of the fact that there is no Ojama Trio in Chazz's deck. Thus, he decides to search from Chazz's important card- Ojama Trio , and thinks of using it by himself to bring back Chazz.
EP88 - Blinded by the Light (2)

Chazz continues his assault on Jaden using his White Knight's Lord .
EP89 - The Darkness Within

Zane returns to Duel Academy for the Genex Tournament and is asked for a duel by his old friend Atticus. Trying to use the shadows to save Zane, Atticus loses control over the shadows and Nightshroud returns for the duel.
EP90 - Pro-Dueling

Crowler and Vice-Principal Bonaparte are concerned about the reputation of the Academy due to lots students being beaten by pro duelists, so they decide to unleash their secret weapons to hopefully earn back the Academy's reputation.
EP91 - Don't Fear the Reaper

The rumor about a duelist who participates in Genex and beats an opponent by one turn kill is spread out. The true identity of that person who makes a deal with The Grim Reaper's card is Lucien Grimly obtaining draw power. Jaden has to duel against Lucien whose soul has already been sold to The Grim Reaper.
EP92 - Duel for Hire

While Dr. Crowler and Vice Principal Bonaparte get yelled at by Chancellor Sheppard, they take it the wrong way and believe that they got fired. This happens just as Pegasus, the president of the I2 Corporation shows up for a meeting with Chancellor Sheppard. Dr. Crowler and Vice Principal Bonaparte beg Pegasus to hire them and a duel is suggested to determine whether or not they will get the job.
EP93 - Heart of Ice (1)

Sartorious has two personalities against each other. One wants to conquer the world and make everybody see the light . The other is the good side and is trying to stop the other side from achieving his goals. The good personality hands an important key each to Jaden and Aster. The evil side wants that key, so he sends Alexis to duel Jaden. Alexis' deck has become powerful with the influence of the light. Will Jaden be able to save Alexis?
EP94 - Heart of Ice (2)

Alexis' Deck, which was powered up by Sartorious, gradually drives Jaden into a corner. Jaden is fighting to return Alexis to her original self. However, Alexis, who isn't listening to Jaden, finally summons her strongest monster: White Knight Dragon. Jaden is pushed into a difficult situation, until he draws the card Chazz and Atticus entrusted him to return Alexis to her former self.
EP95 - Tough Love

Syrus challenges his broher to a duel, hopefully to bring him back to normal. Zane accepts the challenge and the duel between the brothers begins. Syrus remembers what his brother had taught him about respecting the opponent. However, Zane forgets all he once knew,and taught to his brother, and attacks Syrus using his unique Cyber Tail Deck.
EP96 - It's All Relative

Sartorious, who has to recapture an important key, sends Dr. Eisenstein to confront Jaden. He is a genius medical doctor who creates a deck to counter Jaden's perfectly. The duel begins with the doctor activating Relativity Field and summoning a monster that can negate Jaden's skillful fusions, enabling him to quickly gain the advantage in the duel.
EP97 - The Dark Light

The real purpose of the GX tournament is revealed: Chancellor Sheppard and Pegasus searching for the person who posseses the Ultimate Destiny Hero card. As it turns out, Aster is also searching for this card. Meanwhile, Aster's legal gaurdian The D is about to avenge his title as world champion. However, The D has a secret important to Aster.
EP98 - Ultimate Destiny

Aster learns that D is the one who stole the Ultimate Destiny Card from his father. He challenges D to a duel attached by a key entrusted from Sartorious. Aster begins the match with his D-Hero's, but the world champion proves a tough opponent even for Aster. D then activates the Ultimate D Card, pushing Aster into a tough spot. will Aster be able to beat D and finally find out what happened to his dad?
EP99 - The Key Factor

Jaden learns of the secret key from Linda, Prince Ojin's secretary. The key can activate the Laser Satellite. In order to retrieve it from Jaden, Sartorious orders Prince Ojin to duel Jaden. The prince is able to attack Jaden using three seperate Satellite Cannons. Jaden is able to call forth the Flame Wingman but is pushed into a tight situation.
EP100 - The Phoenix Has Landed (1)

Aster faces Sartorious to verify the words of his father that the Wave of Light clings to and enslaves Sartorious. Aster goes to the Society of Light's Private Duel Field, and demands answers from Sartorious. Sartorious, who took in the Wave of Light to the point it created another personality, has demanded Aster to return the key of the Laser Satellite to him. Aster's mind is made up, and begins his duel with Sartorious. Sartorious, who believes he's completely seen what Destiny has to offer, brings out the cards of the Arcana .
EP101 - The Phoenix Has Landed (2)

Aster's Duel with Sartorious continues. Sartorious makes the 21st Arcana Force The World explode. Aster receives huge sums of damage, but believes inside Sartorious, despite being controlled by the Wave of Light, the Real /True Sartorious still exists. Against Sartorious's unwavering assault, Aster begins to give up. But something happens to allow Aster to begin his counter offensive strike. However, Aster succeeds at making The Good Hearted Sartorious appear finally.
EP102 - The Hands of Justice (1)

Sartorious, controlled by the Wave of Light, has defeated Aster in their fight. Sartorious then demands Jaden's key to the Laser Satellite in exchange for Aster. Jaden's put in a pretty difficult situation. There is where Neos shows up to interject just as the key is about to go to Sartorious. Furious, Sartorious duels Jaden to put an end to things. Just like in his battle with Aster, Sartorious reads the future and becomes the dominant power in the duel. Despite this, Jaden summons his monsters through his specialty - Fusion.
EP103 - The Hands of Justice (2)

Sartorius, controlled by the Wave of Light, activates the Field Spell Card [Light Boundary]. This Boundary has an adverse effect on the Card Spirits and Jaden's monsters are drove in it. Then, Sartorius summons Arcana Force [The World] and sticks it on Jaden. Meanwhile, Prince Orgene, controlled by the evil Sartorius, obtains two keys for the Laser Satellite and makes it mobile. Kenzan's already too late in his attempts to stop it, as the Laser Satellite has set it sights on Earth and fired just as planned....

EP157 - A looming threat! The mysterious visitor

Juudai returns to Duel Academy, and a month goes by. Johan, O'Brien, Amon, and Jim return to their respective schools. Shou, Manjoume, and Rei move to the Blue Dorm and their new school lives start, but Juudai refuses to leave the Red Dorm, locking himself in instead. Amidst all this, a sudden malfunction occurs in the Duel System. Cards that don't respond in Solid Vision begin to appear. To find the cause, Manjoume, Asuka, and Fujiwara Yusuke investigate the computer room. Meanwhile, Juudai receives a cell phone from an unknown sender, and with it, certain information.
EP158 - Farewell, Duel Academia! The path Judai chooses!

Juudai's discovered the truth about the mysterious student, Fujiwara Yusuke. He's also made a weighty decision, turning in his letter of withdrawal from school to Principal Samejima. Samejima refuses to accept it, suggesting, instead, that Juudai meet with certain people - Kagemaru and Saiou. Kagemaru and Saiou have come to tell Juudai of the coming danger they sense. A man in a suit appears before the three of them.
EP159 - The truth behind darkness! Judai vs. Fubuki

It was O'Brien who saved Fubuki from Fujiwara Yusuke. O'Brien receives a new mission from the II Company and returns to Duel Academy. In order to solve the mystery of Darkness, Juudai decides to duel Fubuki. Fubuki calls on the powers of Darkness and summons the Red-eyes Black Dragon. He then sacrifices Red-eyes Black Dragon to special summon Red-eyes Darkness Dragon, and attacks Juudai.
EP160 - Fusing souls! Neos vs. Five God Dragon

Fujiwara Yusuke is actually the spirit of the card Honest. Confronted with this, Juudai uses the strength of Yubel, who lies within him, to withstand Honest's attacks. He asks Honest about the strange phenomenons and Honest begins explaining. Darkness' envoys Trueman and Mister T witness this and attack in an attempt to erase Juudai. The attack critically wounds Honest. Rage overtakes Juudai and he challenges Mister T to a Duel. On his first turn, Mister T summons F.G.D.
EP161 - Shall we duel? Invitation to a Pair Duel

Kenzan and the other second-years plan a Duel party as a way to make some memories. Meanwhile, Asuka worries over what her future plans should be - stay at the Academy and become an instructor at the kids school, or go overseas to study. The Duel party becomes an event with boy-girl pairs where upper-classmen Duel lower-classmen. When Asuka finds out who she's paired with, her partner just happens to be Juudai.
EP162 - Judai vs. Asuka! Face-down Card of Hidden Emotions

It's the final round of the pair Duels. Juudai and Asuka will be fighting Kenzan and Rei. Asuka plans her strategy and lays out her cards. Meanwhile, Rei confirms that Juudai and Asuka aren't in sync with each other, and lays out cards in a very deliberate manner. Juudai checks with Asuka to see what cards she has, but completely ignores Asuka's intent as he moves forward in his Duel. This makes Asuka angry. In contrast, Rei reveals her face-down card, and it's...
EP163 - Challenge from Psycho Shocker

Someone attacks Principal Samejima. He's a man who can use the Psycho Arts which developed around the same time as the Cyber Arts, a man named Inotsume Makoto. He aims to crush the Cyber Arts to make the Psycho Arts the main school. After defeating Samejima, previously a Cyber Arts teacher, his next target is... the successor to the Cyber Arts school, Marufuji Ryou. Ryou is in the Academy infirmary attempting to recover. Inotsume appears before him in his weakened state with a letter of challenge. Ryou and Inotsume face off.
EP164 - The inherited Cyber-Dark Dragon

Shou declares that he'll take over the Duel from Ryou. He practices using Ryou's deck, but it doesn't go well. Juudai appears before Shou to tell him, you can't just try to copy Ryou. That deck's fought alongside Ryou all this time. It'll see through anyone trying to copy him. Listen to the deck and make it your own. Shou and Inotsume face off. At first, Shou fights using the same tactics as his older brother, and Inotsume fights the same way he did before. Then, Shou summons Cyber Dark Dragon and Inotsume special summons Psycho Shocker.
EP165 - Shoot for it! Manjyome, the Path to a Pro Duelist!

Manjoume aims to become a pro Duelist without any help from his older brothers, but all he receives are rejection notifications. Unable to simply stand by and watch Manjoume like this, Chronos takes him to Ed's yacht. Once there, Chronos asks Ed to take Manjoume on as his apprentice. Manjoume does become Ed's apprentice, but the daily life of the pro Duelist Ed is something he never could have imagined - phones that start ringing at 7 am, asking for interviews, long lines at meet-and-greets... And the most surprising thing, the blood-stained Duel training that Ed, so often called a genius, puts himself through.
EP166 - Armed Dragon vs. Dragoon D End

Having lost an important card, Ed retires from being a pro. Meanwhile, Manjoume teams up with Mike and he suddenly becomes a star. Ed's former secretary, Emeralda, appears and tells him who really stole the card. Thinking that Manjoume should be made an even bigger star, Mike arranges a rematch with his former mentor, Ed. Before the match, Manjoume visits Juudai and makes a request. Then, Manjoume and Ed's rematch begins.
EP167 - Graduation Duel! Chronos vs. the Original Dropout Boy

When Chronos looks at the graduation album Kenzan and the others made, he shouts and holds an even more demanding lesson than usual, giving them math lessons, making them study kanji and do push-ups... When they boycott the lessons and the they get cancelled, he chases them around. Unable to watch any longer, Juudai challenges Chronos to a duel. The two of them face off in a way they haven't since the entrance exam. Chronos summons Antique Gear Soldier and Juudai summons Flame Wingman.
EP168 - Graduation Duel starts! Neos vs. Horus the Black Flame Dragon

At last, Duel Academy's graduation duels begin. Juudai is ready to enjoy the duels, but there's a line of students with Duel requests for him. There's a second-year student named Sorano in the Blue Dorm who is said to be quite skilled, and things end up with Juudai dueling him. On his first turn, Sorano raises his Horus Black Flame Dragon from level 4 to level 8.
EP169 - The price of decision! O'Brien, Darkness in fire

Mister T appears in front of O'Brien. The two of them begin a Duel. O'Brien summons Volcanic Edge, and takes 500 life points. Mister T summons Dark Archetype, and Volcanic Edge's attack allows him to summon a new monster, Dark Psycho Eye. When he does, impossibly, O'Brien's father appears before him. Knowing that he can't let himself falter, O'Brien tries to stay calm, but...
EP170 - Saiou returns! Activate!

A tremendous number of Mister Ts appear and surround Juudai. Juudai is left with nowhere to run. Suddenly a figure appears... it's Saiou. He has important information to relay to Juudai, who has escaped from Mister T - Mister T's target is Duel Academy. However, Saiou can't let Juudai go to the academy, so he challenges him to a Duel. Juudai has no choice but to accept. Saiou uses a combo of The Fool and Tour of the Dead cornering Juudai by rendering him unable to summon monsters.
EP171 - The End of Destiny! Magma Neos vs. The Dark Ruler

With the Sowing of the Fool, Juudai's deck is whittled away quickly, leaving him in a bind. Just then, he hears the voice of the Winged Kuribo and manages to counterattack, the upright position of the Dark Ruler allowing him to attack twice during battle phase 2. Cornered and left with only 13 cards, Juudai hears Mizuchi's voice asking him to save Saiou. Knowing that the only way to save Saiou is to defeat him, Juudai steels his nerve and confronts Saiou.
EP172 - Duel Academia crisis! The jewel beasts blocking the way

His battle with Saiou finished, Juudai starts to head for Duel Academy, but before he can Mister T appears. Meanwhile, at Duel Academy, Mister T's evil influence spreads, and a Duel unfolds between Kenzan and Mister T in the guise of Sorano. Juudai duels Mister T, but Mister T starts using a Crystal Beasts deck, a deck only Johan should possess. Juudai worries that Johan might have fallen at Mister T's hand even as he desperately battles the Crystal Beasts...
EP173 - Darkness invasion, the stolen memories

At Duel Academy, Sorano, hijacked by Mister T, attacks student after student, leading them into the world of Darkness. The only ones left at the academy are Fubuki and Manjoume, and Asuka, Junko, and Momoe. Finally, Mister T appears before them and attacks. The students defeated by Mister T are dragged into the world of Darkness, and those remaining lose their memories of the students who are gone. Manjoume and Asuka are defeated by Mister T, and Fubuki, who has lost his memory of them, prowls the empty academy campus. That's when Darkness appears before him.
EP174 - Activate, clear world! Ferocious negative effect

Darkness is actually Fujiwara Yusuke. Fujiwara speaks of the magnificence of the World of Darkness, but Fubuki opposes his thinking. Fujiwara activates the field magic Clear World, conferring a Negative Effect on Fubuki. On top of this, he summons a high level clear monster, Clear Vise Dragon. Clear Vise Dragon is a monster which increases it's fellow monsters' offensive abilities two-fold. Fubuki finds himself in a dire situation. And, unrelenting in his attacks, Fujiwara shows Fubuki the darkness in the hearts of Majoume, Asuka, Shou and the others.
EP175 - Battle Royale! Judai vs. Johan vs. Fujiwara

Juudai and Johan form a tag team and begin a Duel against Fujiwara. Fujiwara initiates field magic, Clear World, activating a Negative Effect. He launches a combo of Clear Rage Golem and Clear Phantom against Juudai. But with Johan's support, Juudai escapes the situation. Fujiwara realizes that won't win unless he can sever the bonds between Juudai and Johan, so he peers into Johan's heart to find the darkness within.
EP176 - Rainbown Neos, Protector of Bonds vs. Clear Vicious Knight

Juudai and Johan versus Fujiwara, the conclusion. Fujiwara tries to break the strong bonds between Juudai and Johan by using the darkness within Johan's heart, and fails. Their bonds cause Fujiwara to fly into a rage and he activates Attribute Gravity. The effects cause Johan's monsters' attacks to hit Juudai's monsters. When it's time for Juudai to attack, Fujiwara activates Attribute Chameleon which makes Juudai's monsters attack Johan's monsters. As Fujiwara causes their monsters to attack each other in denial of their bonds, Honest appears and speaks of Fujiwara's tragic past.
EP177 - The combo of terror, Nihilty and Infinity

Juudai successfully separates Fujiwara from Darkness, but the world is still engulfed in the shadow of a solar eclipse. In this gloom, the real Darkness appears. He tells Juudai that the World of Darkness is made of the darkness that lies in duelists' hearts. To save everyone from the World of Darkness, Juudai challenges him to a duel. Darkness launches a terrifying combo of Nothingness and Infinity, while Juudai...
EP178 - Final Hope! Yuki Judai

Juudai combines Neos and Yubel to summon Neos Wiseman to attack Darkness. Darkness simply smiles and revives Darkness Eye activating the Nothingness and Infinity combo. As the offense and defense unfold, advancing and retreating, Juudai learns a shocking truth from Darkness - the shape of the future of humanity. Juudai fights with the fate of the human race in the balance.
EP179 - Goodbye Judai! Tears of Graduation

In an ultimate contact fusion, Juudai summons God Neos and defeats Darkness. The world returns to the way it was and Shou and the others run to meet Juudai. Then...it's time for the graduation ceremony. Chronos wipes away tears and does a terrible job as the MC. As the representative of the underclassmen, Kenzan reads a farewell speech, but his tears make it impossible to understand. Asuka, Shou, Manjoume, Juudai and the others give the graduates their diplomas. That evening, they hold a thank-you party, but Juudai is nowhere to be seen. As Juudai packs, getting ready to go on a journey, a Winged Kurinbo appears to lead him to a particular place...
EP180 - The True Graduation Duel! Judai vs. Legendary Duelist

Yuuki Juudai versus Mutou Yuugi. With the Winged Kurinbo's guidance, Juudai flies to Mutou Yuugi's world. Yuugi holds the God card, and Dueling him will be Juudai's real graduation Duel. It will also be a fight where Juudai, who has fought continuously for three years, will find something he's lost. Juudai summons Neos and Yuugi summons Black Magician.
