EP1 - Humanzee

The Animal Liberation Alliance, a terrorist group, raids a research institute and takes away a pregnant chimpanzee. Fifteen years later, Charlie, the half-human, half-chimpanzee Humanzee born that night enrolls into high school. He befriends Lucy, but little do they know how fragile their peaceful days really are.

EP2 - ALA (Animal Liberation Alliance)

The ALA attacks New York City, killing several people in a bombing. When news about Charlie's past ties to the ALA resurfaces, the town grows suspicious of his terrorist connections. Unfazed, Charlie goes to school as usual, not realizing what the ALA has in store for him as a mysterious man approaches Lucy.

EP3 - Heterosis

Lucy visits Eva, the chimpanzee who gave birth to Charlie, at The Kornberg Primate Research Institute. There, she meets Dr. Fowler who tells her a few secrets about Charlie's birth. She later joins Charlie's family for dinner as Hannah celebrates Charlie's first friend, unaware that the ALA members are lying in wait.

EP4 - One of a Kind

Charlie suddenly goes missing. While Bert and Hannah search everywhere for him, Charlie is calmly confronting Rivera, Lippman and Min-su of the ALA. He gives them an ultimatum and things seem to be heading towards a peaceful conclusion until Rivera makes a drastic move.

EP5 - The Struggle for Rights

Charlie is finally released from custody with the help of Congresswoman Dafne M. Linares, who ran on the platform of animal rights. When he returns to school, however, the warm reception he once received is now replaced with scorn and slander. Despite all this, Lucy takes steps towards getting Charlie his civil rights.

EP6 - Direct Action

Charlie goes viral once again for stopping a fight between Ozzy and student activist Gare. Instead of thanking him, Gare questions why Charlie is not more passionate about animal rights. Disappointed with Charlie's stance, Gare livestreams about feeling powerless as an activist when he receives a mysterious invitation.

EP7 - Red Pill

Students panic and the world watches in horror as a masked man livestreams himself shooting students in Shrews High. Deputy Philip Graham storms into the school, but is shocked to find Charlie trying to save the wounded. Meanwhile, Lucy comes face to face with the shooter as he prepares for one final and very public message to Charlie.

EP8 - Visitors

Public anger over the school shooting leads to a growing number of attacks on vegans and activists nationwide. As anti-ALA sentiments intensify, misinformation about Charlie protecting the shooter raises suspicions about his terrorist connections, leading to a confrontation with the townspeople.

EP9 - Bluebeard's Castle

Lucy runs into Deputy Phil and tells him the truth behind the pool incident ten years ago. As Phil questions his own opinion of Charlie, Hannah senses something has changed in her adopted son. That night, Lucy and Charlie exchange messages as usual. However, Lucy's unusual response raises Charlie's suspicions.

EP10 - Door to Accelerated Advancement

Charlie goes alone to save the kidnapped Lucy. After confronting the armed ALA members, Charlie finally finds Lucy with Rivera. Delighted to meet him in person, Rivera tells Charlie the truth about the ALA raid that rescued Eva fifteen years ago and its connection to Dr. David Grossman, Charlie's biological father.

EP11 - Transfer of Ownership

チャーリーが不在の間に自宅が放火され、ハンナとバートは命を落とす。しかし、2人は火災に巻き込まれる以前に、何者かによって殺害されていたことが明らかになった。2人の死亡を確認したチャーリーは現場から森の茂みに姿を消し、行方不明となってしまった。その後、近隣住民数名が自宅への放火を認めるが、夫妻殺害は否認しており、混乱は深まっていく。捕まっていたリヴェラも、その混乱に乗じて姿をくらませてしまった。一方で民間団体や篤志家が『ヒューマンジー捕獲』に懸賞金をかけたことで、州内外からも人々が集まっていたが、チャーリーの行方はわからない。哀悼の中で葬儀が行われ、ルーシーはかつてチャーリーと腰を下ろした森林公園のベンチで彼の姿を探していた。

EP12 - Sexual Dimorphism

フィル家の里子となったチャーリー。フィルと彼の妻グレイスとの3人で新たにフィル家での暮らしを始めるが、チャーリーの新たな居住地を嗅ぎつけた報道ヘリが上空を旋回し、マスコミが自宅周辺を取り巻いていた。保安官ナヴァロの詰問に対し、チャーリーの引き渡しを拒んだフィルは停職処分を受けるが、それでもチャーリーを守る決意は揺らがない。チャーリーはフィル宅での静かな日常を送りながら、コーンバーグ研究所で精密検査を受ける。MRIや体力測定の結果、骨格や筋肉量の急増、血中ホルモンの変動が確認され、研究者たちはチャーリーが「思春期」に差し掛かっている可能性を指摘する。
