Gegege no Kitarou (2018)
Nearly twenty years into the 21st century, people have forgotten the existence of Yokai.
When a number of unexplainable phenomena plague adults of the human world with confusion and chaos, thirteen-year-old Mana writes a letter to the Yokai Post in search of answers, only to be greeted by Ge Ge Ge no Kitarou...

Daddy Eyeball protects him and is swallowed by oblivion as a result. Completely at a loss, Kitaro simply stands there in a daze. Ratman appears, raises his fist, and knocks Kitaro flying.

Mana uses her power to obliterate Cat-girl body and spirit. Footage of it is broadcast and the antagonism between youkai and humans intensifies. Both sides carry resentments, and as they each seek to destroy the other, Kitaro seeks out Mana to learn the truth of things. Meanwhile, Mana hears about her bloodline and her maternal great-grandmother. It was that great-grandmother who gave her her name, and she also had the same kind of connection to the unseen world. Kitaro appears. Mana's rage over her mother's hurt and Kitaro's rage over Cat-girl's obliteration clash. What will happen to these two who stand in the space between humans and youkai...?

One day, on her way home from school, Mana talks with her friends about how a new social networking app, Omega Talk, has gotten popular. On the app, the videos on Charatomi's yokai channel are super popular. Mana is happy to hear her friends describe youkai as cute. Meanwhile, Kitaro is looking for a youkai said to be stealing babies. Kitaro uses Child's-cry Old Man as a lure, and waits. The youkai Ubume appears and kidnaps Child's-cry Old Man. Kitaro hops on Cotton Cloth's back and chases Ubume. Little do they know, the chase is being broadcast on the youkai channel...!

EP46 - The Cursed Doll Festival Mayuge
One day after school, Mana and her friends look at the Hina dolls displayed in the hallway. It's a seven-tiered stand, but only the Emperor and Empress are displayed. According to Kotani, the teacher who bought the set, the rest of the dolls will be delivered later. Mana suddenly remembers she's forgotten something, and heads for the classroom, leaving her friends waiting for her. But, when she gets back, her friends are gone. With no other choice, she heads home alone, but she learns that none of the friends she was going to walk home with made it to their houses. Mana has a bad feeling about it and, after contacting Kitaro, heads to the school. Once on campus, Mana realizes the number of Hina dolls has increased...!?
