Kekkon suru tte, Hontou desu ka
As introverted colleagues at a travel agency in Tokyo, Takuya Oohara and Rika Honjouji both cherish their happily single lives.
After work, home is where they feel most at ease: Takuya unwinds with his cat, while Rika studies various maps.
However, an uncertain future looms over their treasured tranquility when their company plans to open a branch office in Alaska within one year and transfer an unmarried employee there.
During a day off, Takuya and Rika accidentally meet and, despite never having spoken before, open up to each other about their relocation fears.
Feeling encouraged by Takuya facing the same predicament, Rika suddenly proposes a daring solution—to pretend to be engaged for 365 days.
Takuya accepts, but little do the two know that the path to marriage may, in many ways, change forever the very lifestyles they struggle to preserve.

EP1 - Why Don't We Get Married?
Takuya and Rika are quiet loners who work at a travel agency in Tokyo. A new branch office is opening in Alaska, and some unlucky unmarried employee will have to run it. Could a fake marriage between two virtual strangers be a way to avoid the transfer?

EP2 - What Does It Mean to Get Married?
Someone at work seems to know Takuya and Rika are faking their engagement, so they can't afford to let their guard down at any time. Then, somehow Takuya's father catches wind of the upcoming wedding from all the way across Japan!

Takuya plans to go home to Kumamoto over the weekend so he can tell his family the wedding plans aren't real. But first, he has to act as attendant for a high-profile European princess who wants to spend a day touring Tokyo incognito.

The plan is for Takuya to fly home and confess about the marriage lie to his family alone, but circumstances force Rika to accompany him. Along the way, the two of them learn more about each other's families and childhoods.

The trip to Aso largely turns into a comedy of errors, but at least now Takuya's family knows the marriage idea is just a ploy. Afterwards, it begins to resemble a normal countryside trip, but there seems to be no end to the surprises that are in store.

After returning to Tokyo, Rika and Takuya are both no longer sure how to communicate with one another. An unexpected turn of events for their coworker Shinshi demonstrates that difficulties can lurk even in the most seemingly blissful of marriages.

Nao happens upon Rika on her first day in Tokyo. While the two of them are hanging out, Rika expresses frustration over how noncommittal Takuya tends to be, so Nao takes the liberty of ordering Takuya to pay a visit to Rika's apartment.

タクヤがリカに告白したことを後悔していると、権田が家にやってくる。権田はマッチングアプリにハマっており、オタ活目的で知り合った人とオフ会をするため一緒にきてほしいと言う。当日、権田の前に現れたのはカオリーという女性だった。タクヤが間に入る必要もなく、すぐに意気投合する二人。権田は育った家庭環境からちゃんとした家庭に憧れがあり、カオリーとの結婚を意識するようになる。結婚前提で付き合ってほしいとカオリーに告白する権田。本気なのかと尋ねたカオリーは権田をある所に連れていく。
