EP157 - Meeting even if Death! Pure Fox Returns!!

Inspired by a movie about a fox using a spell to turn a human girl he loves into a fox like himself for one night, Kitsune looks for Shinobu to find his missing gingko nuts, which he wants her to eat under a full moon to do the same. Ataru and Lum help them. Kitsune eventually finds them, turning Lum, Ataru, Cherry, Shinobu, AND Kotatsu-Neko all into foxes, as well as many of the people in town partially into foxes as well. A half-fox Shinbou and Kitsune dance together under the full moon, happy together.

EP156 - Love of the Armored Daughter! Maiden Heart is Shaky Wobbling

Episode two of a two-episode Serial. Her armor now gone, a terrified Asuka runs away from Ataru, Shutaro, and even her own brother Tobimaro. It's also revealed why Asuka is in the armor; no male from the Mizunokoji clan is allowed to see their daughter until she turns 15. Shutaro, initially against the idea of the arranged marriage, is now all for it when he hears from Ataru that Asuka is cute, despite her being scary powerful due to 15 years in armor. Ryoko, however, plans to put a stop to the arranged marriage with a giant army and later an armored suit. The marriage is soon after called off.

EP155 - Matchmaking Hell! Is the Armored Daughter a Beauty? Beast?

Episode one of a two-Episode Serial. Shutaro is forced into an arranged marriage with the heavily armored Asuka Mizunokoji of the Mizunokoji clan, who've been mortal enemies with the Mendou clan for generations. While Shutaro wants nothing to do with Asuka, Ataru (of course) wants this armored girl for himself. A girl who, apparently, has never met a man before, much less one outside of her armor. At episode's end her armor is removed via Lum shocking her with Ataru clinging to her, revealing her true appearance. Cherry ends the episode, breaking the fourth wall as he tells the audience to turn in next time for the conclusion.

EP154 - Don't Die! Ryoko's Special Straw Doll!!

Ryoko harnesses the power of voodoo and gives Ataru a voodoo doll effigy of her brother Shutaro, who unintentionally hurts him without realizing it. Shutaro now must do everything to prevent Ataru from finding out that the voodoo doll is of him, while trying to avoid himself in the process.

EP153 - Blazing Hidden Trick! This Straight Line Road

Lum finds an alien way to motivate everyone to do their best at the talent show.

EP152 - Attack the Seniors! Revenge of the Knowing Three Daughters

The Planet Middle School Girl Gang is back to get revenge on Lum. However, she's too distracted by Ataru's proposition; if she can go three days without shocking him, he'll go on a date with her.

EP131 - Clash!! Queen Majesty and Ragaman's Love

Ryunosuke loses the cloth that wraps up her breasts, but decides to not buy a new wrap when she's finally treated like a girl by everyone around her. But when it comes time to play rugby at gym class, the boys are more interested in Ryunosuke's large chest than they are in playing the actual game. At the same time, an evil space queen and her all-male henchmen are plotting to overtake Earth, their ship the size (and shape) of a rugby ball.

EP130 - Different Dimension Switch - Where is Darling!?

During Hanami, Ataru snaps a tree branch and somehow causes a rip in dimensions, sending Lum to a parallel world. Here Ataru lost the game of tag in the first episode, his family living in poverty. And he refuses to talk to Lum because he is upset that she ruined his life, as well as his parents'. Lum hops dimensions in hopes of finding the real Ataru.

EP129 - Deathmatch! Ataru VS Mendo Brigade!

Episode 2 of a 2-episode serial. Despite their best efforts, all of Lum's Stroomtroopers except Megane have been kidnapped. Ataru is saved from captivity by Mendou's little sister Ryoko, who gives him supplies and even a motorcycle to save Lum with.

EP128 - Scramble! Recapture Lum!

Episode 1 of a 2-episode serial. Ataru and Lum get into an argument, with Lum going to her UFO to sleep that night. But in her sleep it crashes on Mendou's property, with Lum losing her memory in the process. Mendou, disgusted by Ataru's lack of sympathy about Lum's missing, informs Ataru that she's on his property. He also tells him that if he wants her back, he'll have to go on his property and deal with him and his army. After some nudging by Lum's Stormtroopers, Ataru works together with them to save her.

EP127 - Sakura-san is My Youth!

Ataru recounts how he met Sakura, and how she ended up as the school nurse of his school. This is intermixed with clips from previous episodes.

EP126 - Burning Ran's Emotional Video Mail

In the series' second clip show, Ran gets video tapes highlighting her unhappy childhood, as well as previous episodes' events.

EP125 - Sakura - Melancholy of a Youth Time

Sakura literally re-meets her childhood when Cherry slips her a pill that makes her childhood self appear, who wants to play. But everyone else thinks it's her illegitimate child.

EP124 - Operation - Peek in the Woman's Bath

Ataru takes a bath at an old-fashioned sento (along with Cherry), where he tries to peek on the girls' side, where Lum, Shinobu, Sakura, Ran, Ryoko, Ryunosuke, Benten, and Oyuki are having a private party. But soon the Stormtroopers and even Mendo find out about Ataru's plan.

EP123 - Great Vault! Courageous Survival!

Ataru and Mendou get locked in the latter's giant safe, where they slowly go mad when the place starts flooding and they try to out-survive each other.

EP122 - Deadly! Standup Eating Wars!!

Megane deals with a tough, fast-eating fast-food costumer dragon named Ryuu at the noodle shop he works at, who criticizes others' inferior foods and eats for free if not satisfied. But soon other fast-food fighters start hitting the scene in Tomobiki, and Megane only worries even more. Turns out that Mendou, who's thinking of opening a supermarket in town in an attempt to bankrupt the small-time family restaurants, is the cause of this, starting a contest between Ataru and co. and the fast-food fighters to determine if Tomobiki gets the supermarket.

Ran tries to clone Lum to get revenge on her, but it doesn't work quite as planned.

EP120 - Duel! Benten VS the Three Daughters

A trio of middle-school space girls steal Benten's chain and then challenge her, Lum, and Oyuki to fight them.

Ryunosuke is blackmailed into going on a date with Shinobu to obtain a bra, which she's always wanted to wear.

Cherry tells Ten a fairytale that's basically a giant mishmash of Japanese children's stories, featuring Ataru and Lum as an old couple and Ten as their son .

EP117 - The Story of a Traveling Snow Dharma

After saving its life three times from Ten's antics, a snowman spirit awards Ataru with a late night dinner, taking the form of a cute pink-haired girl that only he can see.

Ataru's parents head away for an overnight trip to Atami, leaving Lum and Ataru in the house together. Ataru dreads the prospect of a Lum-cooked dinner, while a horrified Mendo and Lum's Stormtroopers storm the Moroboshi home to protect Lum from Ataru. Ataru tries to kiss her at the last moment, but as a precaution, puts an armor that prevents electricity, in the last frames...he begins to cry.

EP111 - Enraged Lum-chan!

After Ten burns Lum's scarf she made especially for Ataru, he's forced to do something he's never really done before - apologize. And Ataru is making sure to drag this out as much as possible, even convincing Lum to get angry at him.

EP110 - Grand! The Mysterious Matsutake Pot!!

A batch of matsutake mushrooms from Cherry turn the Tomobiki High student body and staff alike (except Lum and Cherry himself) into a bunch of high weirdos desperate for entertainment.

Onsen-Mark tells the class a story of a cursed willow tree, which Ataru finds a load of fluff and ends up releasing an old man after Mendou after he carved his company's symbol with a knife on said tree. The old man drops a map to a possible treasure, while Mendou plans to see him at midnight to settle a score regarding the mockery of his company logo Ataru carved on the back of his robe. Meanwhile, Onsen-Mark is forced to do guard duty across the school by himself at night.

EP96 - Big Showdown! Sakura vs Sakuranbo!!

Ataru and Lum are left home alone when his parents leave for three days, and Lum locks Ataru inside of his own house! When a botched-up meal causes planes and tanks to appear instead of food, it attracts the attention of Sakura and Sakuranbo, who try to fight them off..but end up fighting against each other's summoned creatures instead!

Ataru is the producer/director of a film for school. At first it only involves him, Lum, and the Stormtroopers, but it soon involves most of the student body after Ataru gets funding by Mendo.

Shinobu gets involved with the rich Kobayakawa family's youngest son, the adopted Makoto, whose father recently died. But his older siblings want to bump him off so that they don't have to share their late father's wealth with him.

Mendo's rival Tobimaro Mizunokoji returns, and the two decide to settle their baseball rivalry once and for all.

Ataru is changed into a girl by Kurama's tengu henchmen after they try to use a cannon to change Ryunosuke into a man for their princess. NOTE: There is no appearance of Shinobu in this episode.

After enduring Lum's ultra-spicy dinner on a camping trip, Ataru, Mendou, Megane, and Perm head off to find food (with Lum and Ten not far behind). They eventually end up fighting against the Evil Peach after they're tipped off by Cherry of a village that produces giant peaches, wanting to save a beautiful girl from being sacrificed.

EP89 - Happy Birthday My Darling

When Ataru flips out over Lum for forgetting his upcoming birthday, she goes absent from school for days and only comes home late at night. This causes both Ataru and Lum to become upset, as well as separately confine in Miss Sakura.

Admiring Ran's feminine beauty, Ryunosuke goes out with her in an attempt to become more feminine, but everyone else except Ran (who doesn't know Ryunosuke's true gender and thinks she's going on a date with a guy) thinks this means she's interested in girls when she claims she has no interest in boys. Lum and Ataru decide to intervene with Ran and Ryunosuke's date .

Ataru talks to Megane one day about handing over a position , which Shinobu overhears, thinking that he's planning to give up on Lum. Not wanting to lose Mendou, she takes manners into her own hands..

After their beach shop is ruined by their fighting due to Ataru and co.'s interference, a father and his son Ryunosuke move into Tomobiki High and set up a shop in-school.

Ataru eats a lollipop Lum gave him and gets a mouth burn. Running off, he finds Cherry and a weird melon, which Ataru eats to cool his mouth. The melon causes Ataru to split into two Ataru's, one polite and the other casual. The two continue to fight all day.

EP40 - Peach Blossom Poetry Contest

Lum, Mendo, Shinobu, Ran, Ten, Sakura, and Cherry all are in a blossom orchard for some traditional reason. Ataru is in the blossom orchard for a picnic. Cherry's chanting summons some sort of woman spirit, whom Ataru runs off and meets with a giant.

EP39 - Sleepy Serene Springtime Classroom

During math class, Kuribayashi and all the students fall asleep, save for Ataru and Mendo. Lum arrives and finds out that a tiny old man and girl are responsible for this magic. The tiny girl then uses some more magic to have a party with Lum, Ataru, and Mendo; until the principal arrives with some parents.

EP38 - Whose Kid Is This?

Mendo finds an alien child in his locker and goes through great lengths to hide it from everyone. Later after everyone has found out, a whole mob of these alien children arrive, just for Mendo.

EP37 - The Tearful Diary of Tomorrow

Lum acquire's Ataru's diary that has written in events that will happen throughout the day. Ataru tries to use it to his advantage, but the records in the diary are not quite how they first read; making use of puns or ambiguous statements.

EP36 - Ran-chan's Invitation

Ran invites Lum, Ataru, and Ten over for cookies and tea, but her real plot is to suck Ataru's youth. Ran makes a double of Ataru and tries switching them, but she gets confused and loses the real Ataru.

EP35 - Girls' Day! Introducing Ran-chan

First appearance of Ran, Lum's childhood friend. During a small celebration at the Moroboshi house, a little doll enchants Ataru to follow it to Ran. Ran tries to kiss Ataru to drain his youth, but Lum shows up.

EP34 - Demonic Jogging

Every morning, Ataru goes jogging early to see girls. On the way to school, Ataru breaks the fall of an attempted suicide as he was grabbing for a 100-yen coin below her. Ataru and Mendo get into a dispute over who is more noble and end up playing a game of tennis.

EP33 - Fourth Dimensional Camera

Mendo bring an antique camera to school that sends Ataru off into other worlds. Lum manages to find him through a class room window that had been stuck for years.

EP32 - Terrifying Visiting Day

On a day when students mothers come to school, Mrs. Mendo and Lum's mother get into a dispute and Mrs. Moroboshi acts as judge by setting up a roulette game.

EP31 - Oh, Lonely Teacher! Kuribayashi Sensei Appears

Ataru and Kuribayashi are enemies from the very start. Then Lum shows up and Kuribayashi falls in love. Finally Lum goes out with Kuribayashi in hopes on lightening his spirits.

EP30 - The Benten Gang's Return Match

Match Benten and her girl biker friends come to Earth for another round of fun. Ataru sides up with Benten again, and Lum recruits Jariten and some people dressed as demons.

EP29 - The Great Spring War

First appearance of Benten, Lum's best friend the goddess. Lum takes Ataru to another planet to help in a battle against Benten's family. The battle consists of catching stones in bowls on a giant set of scales. Ataru starts playing with Benten and ends up messing up the entire game.

EP28 - Constellation is Spinning

Lum's computer tells her that Mendo is really the best choice for her lover, so she brings a set of constellation scales to school and weight Ataru versus Mendo in a series of test in the scales. At the end, the scales break and we see the class as constellations.

EP27 - Mendo Brings Trouble!

Mendo returns for a formal introduction on his first day at school. He and Ataru have a duel for presidency of the class which ends in a tie. So they have a duel with cannons, which Ataru wins with help from Lum.

EP26 - Full Course from Hell

Still at the resort, the group meets some maniac who is having an all-you-can-eat contest. Sakura reveals the secret of her figure to be a diet pill called Beauty Foods . But we really know the real reason is Sakura can just plain eat like a whale, and we see her do so as she beats Ataru and Cherry in the contest and clean the maniac of all his food.

EP25 - Hawaiian Swimsuit Thief

Ataru, Lum, Shinobu, Sakura, Megane, Cherry, and others are staying at a beachside resort. During the day, an octopus is stealing peoples swimsuits, but it appears to look like Cherry is doing it. At the end, they find the octopus and beat him up.

EP24 - Father, You Were Strong

Kurama takes Ataru back in time to help her father who appears to be afraid of women. Later Ataru and Kurama's father have to get past a guard on a bridge.

EP23 - Love Battle Royale

First appearance of Tsubame, Sakura's boy friend who has some magic abilities. Sakura invites Ataru, Lum, Shinobu, Megane, Perm, Chibi, and Kakugari to a disco. Things later go haywire as Tsubame starts casting spells and all sorts of weird creatures appear, including Rei.

First episode with Kurama, the karas-tengu princess. On a field trip, Ataru and friends accidentally meet a karas-tengu who takes Ataru to marry Kurama. Kurama then tries to reform Ataru to be her perfect husband.

EP16 - That Crazy Age of the Dinosaurs

While Ataru is flying an ultra-light, with Lum and Jariten tagging along, Kintaro crashes into him. With the help of Lum's electric shock, the crash send them all back in time to the dinosaur age.

EP15 - Neptune is Beyond My Closet

First appearance of Oyuki, Lum friend and queen of Neptune. Oyuki also has incredible ice powers. Megane and friends visit while Shinobu is nursing Ataru, who has a cold; and they discover a gate to Neptune in Ataru closet. By accident, they go through this gate and arrive on Neptune to be greeted by Lum and Oyuki.

EP14 - Voodoo Dolls of Vengeance

After an odd loss of control of his body after dinner, Ataru finds out Lum has some clay for making voodoo dolls. Ataru takes full advantage of the situation until Lum make a doll of Shinobu, and Ataru tries to get it away from Lum.

EP13 - Electric Shocks Scare Me!

Cherry gives Ataru some yellow ribbons which when tied to her horns, negate Lum's powers. In order to coax Lum into wearing them, Ataru has to put on a big charade of really loving her.

EP12 - It's a Lovesick Little Demon!

Walking home from school, Ataru is assaulted by a group of black cats and gets a nasty bump on the head. At midnight, he is using two mirrors to look at the bump, when a little demon pops out of the mirror. The demon proves to be too much for Ataru and Mr. Moroboshi, so they get Cherry to exorcise it.

EP11 - Love Triangle Black Hole

Ataru is phoning Shinobu in order to make plans for a date, when Lum interrupts and get's Shinobu mad at Ataru. Ataru throws Lum out and spends the rest of the episode trying to contact Shinobu. But Lum is persistent and uses a ray to jam the phone lines. But this ray also has the side affect of making a plane and a helicopter vanish.

EP10 - Tormenting Virus

Arriving at school one morning, Ataru is greeted by all boys in the school who are waiting for the new nurse, Sakura, arriving at school today. Ataru appears to be sick, but in reality he is possessed; and Sakura performs the exorcism.

EP9 - Sakura - Raving Beauty of Mystery

First appearance of Sakura, The Shinto maiden. Ataru can no longer endure Lum, so he has gone undercover. Unfortunately, at a restaurant, the appearance of Lum, Ataru parents, Shinobu, and Cherry blows his cover; and a mob chases after him. He manages to duck them and bumps into Sakura, who takes him home for exorcising.

EP8 - Live Vigorously!

Kintaro's nanny, with Ataru's help takes the alien children on a tour of Earth and a Earth child's school. Ataru tells the myth of the real Kintaro who grew up in the wild and slew a demon. So Kintaro decide to live up to his name.

EP7 - Kintaro of the Autumn Sky

First episode with Kintaro, the vicious little boy with the pet flying bear and the red haired alien nanny. Lum and Jariten meet Kintaro inside a wind carp, and Kintaro tells them he's was looking for his nanny in the carp. Ataru, Shinobu, Lum, and Jariten try to help Kintaro find his nanny by asking around.

EP6 - Die Dreamy-Man!

Ataru, Megane, and friends are going to a Gyudon restaurant for lunch and are quite shocked to see Rei munching down food like a black hole. During the rest of the episode, Rei is chasing Lum, Ataru and friends and as the chase goes on, the chaos grows on.

EP5 - The Coming of Rei the Handsome Shapechanger!

This show features the first appearance of Rei, Lum's former fiance. This episode opens with Ataru in his room watching a storm, and Lum trying to coax him to bed. Shinobu meets Rei and brings him to Ataru's house. After a lot of arguing, Rei challenges Ataru to a duel for Lum.

EP4 - Mrs. Swallow and Mrs. Penguin

This episode opens with Lum putting on makeup to go meet Darling at school. A swallow swallows some food Jariten gives it and it grows such that it looks like a penguin. It's appearance in school is just the start of a full day of panic.

EP3 - Mail from Space - Ten-chan Arrives!

This is the first episode with Jariten, Lum's cousin. Jariten arrives in a giant peach and he and Ataru are enemies at once.

EP2 - It's Raining Oil All Over Town

This episode opens with Ataru friends Megane and Lum's Stormtroopers at school who are watching films of the tag game. In this episode, a space taxi gives Ataru a ride home by accident and the fee is...too much. Since Ataru cannot pay, the space Taxi Collection Agency starts stealing all the oil in the world.

EP1 - I'm Lum the Notorious!

This episode opens with a baseball game and Ataru getting hit with a left field flyball. Ataru is soon escorted home and discovers he's been chosen to fight an invading alien force's champion in a 10-day game of tag. If he loses, the aliens will invade. But if he wins, the aliens will go home. Ataru isn't at all willing to play tag until he sees the alien's champion: the beautiful Lum.
