Hanamaru Youchien
Anzu goes to a kindergarten with her friends, the shy Koume and the eccentric Hiiragi.
Together they try to make their caretaker, Tsuchida Naozumi, fall in love with Anzu.
However, he is clearly more interested in the pretty Yamamoto Nanako, a fellow kindergarten teacher who supervises the class next door.
Even though Anzu tries to convince Tsuchida to marry her when she grows up by using various methods.
Tsuchida, on the other hand, hopes to get a chance to date Yamamoto, and, if not, to marry her.

EP1 - A Hanamaru Entrance Ceremony
Today is Hanamaru Kindergarten's entrance ceremony, but new teacher Tsuchida-sensei sleeps in anyway. As he hurries to school, he runs into a little girl on the side of the road. Concerned for the girl all by herself, he talks to her. Thinking Tsuchida-sensei is hitting on her, the girl bursts with excitement. Afterwards, Tsuchida-sensei rushes to the kindergarten and anxiously participates in the entrance ceremony.The mother of Anzu, the little girl Tsuchida-sensei ran into on his way to kindergarten, turns out to be Sakura, his high school classmate. Returning home after the entrance ceremony, Anzu listens to her mother tell old stories about her high school days, and Anzu begins calling Tsuchida-sensei “Tsuchi” just like her mother. As her parents are preparing for bed, Anzu watches her father give her mother a good night kiss. Sakura tells Anzu to get a kiss from her father too, but Anzu refuses, saying she will get one from her darling instead.

EP2 - A Hanamaru Mother
Anzu, Koume, and Hiiragi are excitedly discussing Koume's pet rabbit when second year Sunflower Class student Kenji shows up. He taunts Koume, claiming rabbits die from loneliness. When Koume is on the verge of tears, the knowledgeable Hiiragi saves the day, correcting Kenji's “facts” one after another. Kenji presents Hiirage with a challenge to settle their know-it-all battle once and for all.Still getting used to working at the kindergarten, Tsuchida-sensei panics when he is surrounded by a group of students. The agitated Tsuchida-sensei gives Anzu permission to explore the kindergarten with her new friends Koume and Hiiragi. While exploring the kindergarten, the three find a slide on the second floor.

EP3 - A Hanamaru Slide
Madly in love with Tsuchida-sensei, Anzu decides to take a chance and confess her love to him, but he does not take her seriously. Instead, Tsuchida-sensei falls over himself thanking Peach Class' Yamamoto-sensei for fixing his apron. Anzu tries to keep Yamamoto-sensei away from him to no avail. Upon seeing the situation, Hiiragi declares a love triangle between Tsuchida-sensei, Yamamoto-sensei, and Anzu. Desperate not to lose to Yamamoto-sensei, Anzu, Hiiragi, and Koume put their heads together to create a strategy of attack.Peach Class' Yamamoto-sensei left her parents' home to live with her younger sister Mayumi. One day, Yamamoto-sensei decides to write a letter to her parents about her co-workers, her innocent and cute students, and the friends from Sakura Class she recently made: Hiiragi the bookworm, the kindhearted Koume, and Anzu, madly in love with Tsuchida-sensei. While writing her letter, Yamamoto-sensei recalls a particular experience she had with Anzu.

EP4 - A Hanamaru Genius
Anzu wants to have a fairytale romance with Tsuchida-sensei, but he breaks her heart when he calls it unrealistic. Following Hiiragi's advice, Anzu takes Tsuchida-sensei on the date of his dreams. Having set the time and place, Anzu instructs Tsuchida-sensei to meet her there.Tsuchida-sensei takes a day off to attend a relative's wedding, leaving Yamamoto-sensei in charge of the Sakura Class for a day. A determined Anzu offers her services to Yamamoto-sensei, who asks Anzu for various favors.

EP5 - A Hanamaru Love Triangle
Tsuchida-sensei turns Anzu down when she asks him out on a Sunday date, leading her to believe he's seeing another woman. When Hiiragi suggests they follow Tsuchida-sensei, Anzu, Hiiragi, and Koume unite to form the Hanamaru Detective Brigade.Hiiragi and Koume follow Anzu as she chases after Tsuchida-sensei, but Koume trips. Just as she's about to break into tears, a boy extends a helping hand. The boy leaves soon afterward when his friends call him, leaving Koume to stand in the hallway by herself, unable to move.

EP6 - A Hanamaru Day
Hanamaru Kindergarten is opening its pool. Excited about her first visit to a pool with Tsuchida-sensei, Anzu hurries off to show him her swimsuit and knock him out. Anzu is feeling pleased with herself when Tsuchida-sensei calls her cute when Yamamoto-sensei shows up in her swimsuit.Tsuchida-sensei's younger sister Satsuki comes to visit. However, Tsuchida-sensei forgets to leave a house key in his mailbox for Satsuki. When she sees the disheveled state of her brother, the already angry Satsuki explodes. Satsuki begins to wonder if her hopeless brother is doing a proper job at the kindergarten.

EP7 - A Hanamaru Date
The kindergarten's summer vacation starts tomorrow! Sakura suggests they take a trip to her hometown with Hiiragi, Koume, and Tsuchida-sensei. Tsuchida-sensei gets excited when Yamamoto-sensei decides to join them, and the six of them make plans to visit the hometown of Sakura and Tsuchida-sensei.Satsuki is delighted her brother is finally visiting home, but when he spends all of his time looking after the girls and staring at Yamamoto-sensei, her mood turns sour. The situation comes to a head when Tsuchida-sensei does not even realize his sister prepared dinner. The group heads to a nearby shrine for a summer festival, but Satsuki's feelings are still unresolved.

EP8 - A Hanamaru Helper
The students return from their summer vacations and excitedly share their experiences with each other. Tsuchida-sensei asks his students to draw a picture of their summer vacations. While most students draw their exciting travels and trips to the beach, Aoi draws a picture of her fishmonger parents working.Tsuchida-sensei comes across a girl with a broken clog thong and helps her home, only to discover she is the daughter of the Macho Clan. The next day, Hinagiku, the girl Tsuchida-sensei helped, appears at Hanamaru Kindergarten. She has transferred to the kindergarten in order to become Tsuchida-sensei's wife.

EP9 - A Hanamaru Detective Team
Hanamaru-sensei, creator of the popular children's character panda-cat, is in a slump and cannot draw. When he happens to run into Anzu and her friends, he decides to confide his troubles in them, inspiring part time publishing company employee and Yamamoto-sensei's younger sister Mayumi into action.The Sakura Class draws pictures of what they want to be when they grow up. Their dreams range from brides to florists to astronauts. While looking at their drawings, Tsuchida-sensei remembers the decision he made as a high school student to become a kindergarten teacher. After class, the other kindergarten teachers excitedly share the reasons they became teachers.

EP10 - A Hanamaru First Love
The suspicious man watching Koume from outside the kindergarten turns out to be her loving older brother Tomoyuki. Worried about Koume's recent behavior, the concerned Tomoyuki has come to the kindergarten to see how she has been doing. When Tsuchida-sensei learns her concerns are related to the footrace at the upcoming field day, he finds someone to help her.At the Hanamaru Kindergarten teachers' get-together, Tsuchida-sensei hits it off with Yamamoto-sensei while Kusano-sensei and Nishikaze-sensei listen to Kakogawa-sensei ramble, and the kindhearted kindergarten director watches over the tipsy teachers. After the get-together, Tsuchida-sensei, Yamamoto-sensei, Kusano-sensei, and Kawashiro-sensei go to karaoke.

EP11 - A Hanamaru Pool
Tsuchida-sensei is resting at home to recover from his cold when his doorbell rings. When he goes to answer it he finds a concerned Anzu who has come to care for the sick Tsuchida-sensei. Ignoring the startled Tsuchida-sensei, Anzu get to work cleaning. Despite her confidence, Anzu gets herself into trouble, and Tsuchida-sensei spends the day looking after her instead of resting.Tsuchida-sensei takes Anzu home after another one of her visits and ends up helping Sakura with her work. Her positive attitude towards the mountain of work inspires Tsuchida-sensei to reflect on his feelings about his own job. The next day, Tsuchida-sensei heads to Yamamoto-sensei's apartment with new resolve.

EP12 - A Hanamaru Brother
Hiiragi-chan and Koume-chan are excited about the Christmas party at Anzu's house tomorrow. Exhausted from helping her mother decorate the tree, Anzu falls asleep. As she drifts off to sleep, she makes a wish to Santa Claus. When she wakes up, she finds herself in a different world.Students and teachers from Hanamaru Kindergarten have come to a gallery in Ginza to see Anzu's father's art show. A painting of Sakura and Anzu catches Tsuchida-sensei's eye. Sakura explains Tsuchida-sensei's role in the creation of the painting and begins to recount a high school memory while everyone's eyes are fixed on the beautiful work.
