EP1 - Ascend! The Demon Detective, The Demon and the Job
A woman hires the Akutabe Detective Agency to split up her husband and his mistress. Akutabe places the case firmly in the hands of the good-for-nothing demon, Azazel.

Sakuma's professor asks her to use her influence at the detective agency to help him find his lost dog. Akutabe uses the case as an opportunity to test powers of the demon, Beelzebub.

Using a photograph taken of Beelzebub in his true form as a reference, the angel Zeruel comes to the Akutabe Detective Agency. As he snoops for a way in, Sakuma has feud with the landlady.

Sakuma uses Salamander's power to turn the landlady into a good person. This has the unforeseen consequence of making her pliable to the plight of the angel Zeruel.
