After leaving the Asakura clan behind and coming to work for the Oda clan, Akechi Mitsuhide tells Nobunaga that he'll set up a meeting with him and Ashikaga Yoshiaki. Nobunaga agrees to this because he wants to take advantage of the shogun's authority.

EP23 - Nobunaga!! Behind You!! Behind You!!

Endou Naotsune, who is not very fond of Nobunaga, finds out that he is going to stop by to see his sister on his way to Kyoto and plans his assassination. Having no idea about this plot, Nobunaga and the others head to Sawayama Castle.

EP24 - The Legend of the Shadow

Nobunaga is headed to Kyoto and sends messengers to Rokkaku Shotei in southern Oumi, but he refuses to help in any way. Feeling like he has no other choice, Nobunaga heads to southern Oumi with an army of 60,000. However, the Rokkaku Clan had the 53 Leaders of Koga working with them.
