Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku: Outbreak

Higurashi Outbreak is set in the same Hinamizawa village of the previous stories.

The village has been completely sealed off due to a mysterious virus in 1983, and Maebara Keiichi and Ryuuguu Rena deal with the outbreak.

Note: The DVD was released together with Daiichi's Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Itadaki pachinko slot machine in late July, 2013.

Participants in the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sen event, a character poll held on the official website between June and July 2013, had the chance to win 30 copies of the DVD. The first half of this OVA received an early screening at a presentation event for the pachinko slot machine on June 11, 2013.
