『Dix Perdix』

Dix Perdix(ディックス・ペルディクス) was the captain of the Ikelos Familia under Ikelos. He was revealed to be a descendant of Daedalus.

Dix was tall, muscular, and had black hair and red eyes. He had a D on his left eye, signifying that he was a descendant of Daedalus. He wore googles with translucent smoky quartz lenses, a slightly dirty battle cloth, and a large battle knife that could pass as a short sword. He later wielded a red spear imbued with a curse.

Dix was a cruel and sadistic man. He had no qualms about torturing the Xenos that the Ikelos Familia captured and even found incredible pleasure in doing so. He was also self-centered and had no interest in helping others even if they were allies, only interested in making his own plans progress. A smart individual, he was on multiple occasions able to deal with his Familia's constant persecution for their illegal activities and demonstrated great mastery in cornering his enemies. He also assumed a superior attitude toward his fellow Familia members and would get angry if something did not go his way.

He used to maintain a calm and confident demeanor, sure of himself and his skills in both fighting and planning, although he could lose it if he was caught off guard and things turned against him. Even when given the task of dealing with the Loki Familia, he remained calm as he believed he had the upper hand due to being in Knossos and loudly taunted Bete after trapping him in a seemingly inescapable situation, only to be stunned when the Werewolf dismantled his scheme with an unconventional method.

He was generally casual and talkative and so tended to talk a lot even in the middle of his fights, further emphasizing his confident and relaxed image. In certain situations this led him to lengthen his battles, such as when he preferred to talk with Bell rather than immediately finish off the boy.

Likewise, he was witty and had the habit to make humorous comments or jokes with both allies and enemies. Even if he decided to finish off his opponents quickly, he didn't do it without a few words first. During the capture of Wiene's group, while he opted to kill Four, he stabbed him after offhandedly mentioning the problems he had once when dealing with a Fomoire.

While he was still known to most adventurers, he was known to kill large numbers of monsters, earning the alias of Hazer.

Dix was a libertine man who preferred to live on his own terms, free to do as he pleased. Because of this, he hated his ancestor and the work he built, as he felt that it restricted and bound him to it. Rather than out of sheer delight in others' suffering, it was revealed that his actions were actually in order to drown the effect his blood had in forcing him to continue working on Knossos, which he himself called a"blood curse." Therefore, he disliked those who obeyed the will of his ancestor, such as his half-brother, Barca.
