Saku is quite tall, standing only a little shorter than Rintarou. He has long black bangs, black eyes, and delicate/pretty facial features. His long hair that reaches down to the bridge of his nose, and among the male characters with minimal descriptions of their appearance, he is uniquely praised for being handsome. He consistently attracts attention from girls who are drawn to his looks, and even children find him appealing.

Another friend and classmate of Rintarou's who is shown to be intelligent which leads him to tutor Rintarou and Shouhei with their exams to avoid them failing. Shy and introverted, he is however cynical and makes sardonic remarks towards people who mock his friends, though he has good intentions and has difficulty in expressing his thoughts.
