Her parents are divorced. Her father left when she was little and her mother works as an escort so she is always all alone.

Her schooldays are nothing but harassment and bullying from Marina because Shizuka's mother is having an affair with Marina's dad, causing Marina's family to get destroyed so Marina takes her anger out on Shizuka.
